Our Mission in the Caribbean

Flash connects the Caribbean through Bitcoin. Financial services here are expensive and hard to reach. We built a wallet that runs on any phone and costs nothing to send.

We are Caribbean, and we have paid these fees ourselves. High transfer costs and limited banking access are the daily reality for millions of people across the region.

Flash started in Jamaica and now serves the wider Caribbean. Every merchant who joins makes sending money home cheaper for the next family that needs it.

The Spark

Fintech passed the Caribbean by. Sending money home cost too much, and merchants had no simple way to take digital payments.

2021

The Vision Takes Shape

El Salvador showed us a future where anyone with a smartphone has banking power without traditional accounts. Bitcoin and Lightning Network became our foundation for instant, low-cost cross-border transactions.

2022

Building the Foundation

We built a team of technologists and financial specialists, committed to open source, and launched in Jamaica.

Finding Our Community

Flash caught on in Jamaica. Business owners and students found that Bitcoin solved problems they faced every day, and their feedback shaped the product.
